Welcome to Parkhills Baptist Church

What is FUEL?

FUEL is the Student Ministry of Parkhills Baptist Church, serving students grade 6 – 12.  Our purpose is to complement the ministry of parents in the home and to lead students into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.  We love spending time with students, but our ministry is about much more than keeping students busy, after all their schedules are pretty full as it is.

As parents observe the culture around them, it’s easy to see how society pulls our students in a thousand different directions.  Unfortunately, many of those influences seek to lead our students away from Christ.  In our ministry we desire to provide the Holy Spirit an opportunity to pull them back to HIM!

This doesn't mean that we don't want our students to have fun; it's just that fun is not our primary goal.  Our primary goal is to combine outreach events and discipleship training that is centered on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and accomplishing the mission of our church, leading people to a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Wednesday FUEL:

Wednesday FUEL is our worship service for students in 6th-12th grade.  The Parkhills Activity Center (PAC) serves as the base of operations on Wednesday night. Beginning as early as 4:30 pm, students can come to the FUEL Coffee Shop and get high quality beverages, hang out with the staff, finish homework and play football.

At 7:00 pm we come together and worship the Lord through music and the study of His Word. FUEL around 8:30 pm most nights. Why don't you come this Wednesday to see what we are all about? More...

Sunday Mornings:

Weekly Connection Groups - on Sunday mornings we meet at 9:30 AM, before worship time, for small group bible study.  Our teachers encourage students to discuss the Bible, and apply the words of Scripture to what's going on in their lives.  We are currently working through the Student Life curriculum entitled Reverb.  We wany to challenge our students during this hour, because we want to prepare them for the challenges that await them. Mission Trips:

The Student Ministry believes that a mission trip can be one of the most important steps leading a student to genuine faith and a close walk with Christ. Therefore, we desire to provide the opportunity for our students to serve on at least one mission experience every summer. This year we are hoping to have a week long mission trip during the month of June. We will post the details as soon as we finalize our plans.

Parents Ministry:

If you didn’t notice earlier, we intentionally listed parents before students in the purpose of our ministry.  We understand that students spend a maximum of 3 hours with us per week, but parents might get three hours every day with their students.  It’s the responsibility of every parent to teach our children the things of God (Deut 4:9-11; Proverbs 22:6), and the student ministry is here to help you in every way we can.  For this reason, we will send out monthly newsletters, weekly updates, and do our best to keep this website updated.  We strive to keep you informed of what’s going on in Student Ministry and give you more teachable moments with your teenagers. Breakfast Club:

During the school year, come join us for Breakfast Club on Monday mornings at 6:30 AM.  We meet at Bill Miller's Barbecue Restaurant for food, bible study, and prayer.  This is an awesome way to start your school day off right.  If your student doesn’t drive, just drop them off and we’ll get them to school.  Maybe we’ll even get them there on time More...
