Welcome to Parkhills Baptist Church

February 26, 2008
We have been in the States for a little over 2 months now.  We have very much enjoyed our time here.  We continue to be blessed by our family, friends and our home church.
The kids are feeling more comfortable at school now.  Each has made some special friends that they enjoy.  All are doing well in school.  The kids have enjoyed their Upward basketball teams.   It has been a great opportunity for them to learn a bit about basketball and make some friends.

Lee is enjoying his seminary classes.  He is trying to develop his reading skills to keep up with the reading assignments.  He has a busy week ahead with a couple of papers due.

We have had a some opportunities to share what God is doing in our ministry at a few churches.  We have been encouraged.
We leave Friday to a Mission Conference in East Texas.  We will be gone a week.  Between the two of us we will speak at 10 churches in 4 days.  Our moms will be staying with our kids.
As usual, we have some praises and prayer.

Praises:

The Kids adjusting well to school and life here.
God's provision of a place to live.  The sacrifices that our pastor and his wife are making on our behalf.
For Nancy Moorhead's faithfulness to help whenever a need arises with prayer updates, prayer cards etc.
Prayer Request:

We received an email this past week from our mission supervisor that is requesting us to remain in the States until December because of an agreement between the US and Europe that requires Americans to spend one year in the States for every 5 years in Europe.  We are waiting to see if staff at BFA have some type of exemption.  We do feel, at this point, that we are suposed to be back at BFA for the fall, but we do know that God will work out what He wants.  Please pray that we will be clear on God's direction, and that he will work out whatever details that may involve.
Also, please pray for us as we do our speaking tours, and for our family as we are away.

Thanks again foryour partnership in our ministry through your intercession for us.  We appreciate you so much.
By His grace,
Lee and Laurie
